A targeted oral therapy that inhibits an enzyme called BTK, which certain cancer cells and overactive immune cells depend on to grow and survive. It is used to treat certain blood cancers, including chronic lymphocytic leukemia and mantle cell lymphoma. Patients may experience headaches, particularly early in treatment, as well as an increased risk of bleeding and atrial fibrillation.
