Caspofungin Acetate
The acetate salt form of caspofungin, administered intravenously for serious invasive fungal infections including candidemia and invasive aspergillosis. It disrupts fungal cell wall integrity through inhibition of glucan synthesis. Liver function should be monitored during treatment, as dose adjustment may be needed in hepatic impairment.
