A sustained-release form of chlorpheniramine complexed with a polymer ion exchange resin that slows its absorption and extends its duration of action to approximately 12 hours. It provides prolonged antihistamine relief for allergy and cold symptoms with less frequent dosing. It is found in extended-release combination cold and cough products.
