Calcitonin Human
The synthetic form of human calcitonin used to lower elevated calcium levels and treat bone disorders such as Paget's disease and osteoporosis. Although structurally identical to endogenous calcitonin, it is less potent than salmon calcitonin. Antibody formation can reduce its effectiveness over time.
