Ceruletide
A synthetic analog of cholecystokinin, a gastrointestinal peptide hormone that stimulates gallbladder contraction and pancreatic enzyme secretion, formerly used diagnostically to assess gallbladder and pancreatic function. It was also investigated for therapeutic use in paralytic ileus and colon cleansing. Its clinical use is largely limited to certain countries and diagnostic applications.
