Gadoxetic Acid
A gadolinium-based contrast agent used in magnetic resonance imaging of the liver, taken up selectively by functional liver cells to provide detailed images of liver structure and detect lesions such as tumors or cirrhosis. It combines the benefits of standard extracellular MRI contrast with liver-specific enhancement during the hepatobiliary phase. It helps physicians distinguish between benign and malignant liver conditions.
