Insulin Glulisine
This rapid-acting insulin analogue is designed to be taken immediately before or shortly after a meal to control postprandial blood sugar in diabetes. It begins working within 15 minutes, peaks around 1 hour, and lasts for 3-5 hours, closely mimicking the body's natural rapid insulin response to food. It is used in combination with a longer-acting basal insulin.
