This anti-CD38 monoclonal antibody is used in combination with other agents to treat relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma. It works by binding to CD38 on myeloma cells and triggering multiple mechanisms of cell destruction, including antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity and complement-mediated killing. It can also inhibit the immunosuppressive activity of regulatory immune cells.
