Canrenone
An active metabolite of spironolactone with aldosterone-blocking properties, used to treat conditions such as heart failure, hypertension, and fluid retention. By opposing aldosterone, it promotes sodium and water excretion while conserving potassium. It is used clinically in some countries as a direct alternative to spironolactone.
