Imidapril
This ACE inhibitor is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and heart failure by blocking the enzyme that produces angiotensin II, a potent blood vessel constrictor. By reducing angiotensin II levels, it causes blood vessels to relax and reduces the workload on the heart. It may also slow the progression of kidney disease in diabetic patients.

Mecanismo de acción
Inhibits angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE), preventing the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II, a potent vasoconstrictor. This reduces peripheral vascular resistance, decreases aldosterone secretion, and lowers blood pressure.
