A CAR-T cell therapy in which a patient's own T cells are engineered to express a chimeric antigen receptor targeting CD19, used to treat relapsed or refractory B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia and other B-cell malignancies. The modified cells are infused back into the patient, where they recognize and destroy CD19-positive cancer cells.
