Ciclopirox
A broad-spectrum antifungal and antibacterial agent that works by chelating metal cations necessary for fungal enzyme function, disrupting cell membrane integrity and metabolic processes. It is used topically to treat fungal nail infections (onychomycosis), tinea pedis, tinea versicolor, and seborrheic dermatitis. Multiple formulations are available including nail lacquer, cream, and shampoo.
