Unoprostone Isopropyl
Unoprostone isopropyl is a docosanoid analog (derived from a urinary metabolite of prostaglandin) that reduces intraocular pressure by increasing aqueous humor outflow through uveoscleral and trabecular meshwork pathways. It is used in the management of open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension as a topical ophthalmic agent. Its prostaglandin-related mechanism complements other classes of glaucoma medications.
