Brolucizumab
A single-chain antibody fragment that inhibits vascular endothelial growth factor A, used by injection into the eye to treat wet age-related macular degeneration and diabetic macular edema. Its small molecular size may allow for greater tissue penetration and potentially longer intervals between injections compared to some other anti-VEGF agents. Rare but serious cases of retinal vasculitis have been reported.
