A trifunctional bispecific antibody that simultaneously targets EpCAM on tumor cells and CD3 on T cells, recruiting immune effector cells to kill cancer cells. It was historically used for the intraperitoneal treatment of malignant ascites in patients with EpCAM-positive carcinomas. It was withdrawn from the European market for commercial reasons despite demonstrated clinical activity.
