Cefuroxime
A second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic with improved gram-negative coverage compared to first-generation agents, used for respiratory tract, urinary, skin, and bone infections. It is available in both parenteral and oral formulations. It does not penetrate the cerebrospinal fluid reliably enough for meningitis treatment.
