Zavegepant Hydrochloride
Zavegepant hydrochloride is the hydrochloride salt form of zavegepant, an intranasal CGRP receptor antagonist for acute migraine treatment. The hydrochloride salt form provides appropriate physicochemical properties for the aqueous intranasal spray formulation. Like the free base, it blocks CGRP receptors in trigeminal afferents and meningeal blood vessels to abort acute migraine attacks.
