Icatibant Acetate
This is the acetate salt form of icatibant, a bradykinin B2 receptor antagonist used for acute treatment of hereditary angioedema attacks. It relieves the rapid swelling that can affect the face, throat, abdomen, and limbs in HAE by blocking the final mediator of the condition. Patients can be trained to self-inject subcutaneously during an attack.
