Sutilains
Sutilains is a mixture of proteolytic enzymes derived from Bacillus subtilis, used as a topical debriding agent for chemical debridement of necrotic tissue in wounds, burns, and ulcers. The bacterial protease mixture selectively digests denatured, necrotic protein in the wound bed while having minimal effect on viable tissue, facilitating wound healing. Its enzymatic activity requires a moist wound environment and neutral to slightly alkaline pH.
