Technetium Tc 99M Fanolesomab
Technetium Tc 99m fanolesomab is a radiolabeled murine anti-CD15 monoclonal antibody that targets CD15 (3-fucosyl-N-acetyl-lactosamine) expressed on activated neutrophils and other granulocytes, enabling scintigraphic imaging of infection and inflammation sites. It was developed for the diagnosis of appendicitis and osteomyelitis by detecting sites of neutrophil accumulation. Its use has been limited by adverse reactions associated with the murine antibody.
