Danaparoid Sodium
A mixture of low molecular weight glycosaminoglycans, including heparan sulfate and dermatan sulfate, used as an anticoagulant to treat and prevent blood clots, particularly as an alternative in patients who have developed heparin-induced thrombocytopenia. It primarily inhibits Factor Xa in the clotting cascade. It has a long half-life and limited ability to be reversed.

작용 기전
Binds to antithrombin III, dramatically accelerating its inhibition of thrombin (Factor IIa), Factor Xa, and other serine proteases of the coagulation cascade. This produces rapid anticoagulation proportional to the dose administered.
