Glimepiride
A sulfonylurea oral antidiabetic used to improve blood sugar control in type 2 diabetes by stimulating insulin release from the pancreas and enhancing insulin's action in peripheral tissues. It is often used alone or in combination with insulin or other diabetes medications when lifestyle modifications are insufficient.
