Brivaracetam
An anticonvulsant medication used as adjunctive therapy in adults and children with focal-onset seizures. It binds to a specific protein in nerve terminals called SV2A to modulate neurotransmitter release and reduce excessive neuronal firing. It has a rapid onset of action and is available in both oral and intravenous formulations.
