Calcium Acetate
A phosphate binder used to reduce elevated phosphate levels in patients with end-stage kidney disease on dialysis. Taken with meals, it binds dietary phosphate in the gut to prevent its absorption into the bloodstream. It provides calcium to the body while helping control phosphate, but requires monitoring to avoid hypercalcemia.
