Valbenazine Tosylate
Valbenazine tosylate is the tosylate salt form of valbenazine, a selective VMAT2 inhibitor approved for tardive dyskinesia treatment. The tosylate salt form is the pharmaceutical formulation used in the marketed product (Ingrezza), providing appropriate solubility and stability for oral capsule administration. It works by reducing presynaptic dopamine release in the basal ganglia, attenuating the abnormal involuntary movements of tardive dyskinesia.
