Somapacitan
Somapacitan is a long-acting recombinant human growth hormone analog with a fatty acid conjugate that facilitates reversible albumin binding, extending its half-life to allow once-weekly subcutaneous administration for the treatment of growth hormone deficiency in adults. By mimicking endogenous GH signaling through the GH receptor, it stimulates IGF-1 production, promotes protein anabolism, and improves body composition in GH-deficient patients. Once-weekly dosing offers a significant convenience advantage over daily GH formulations.
