Pyritinol
Pyritinol is a semi-synthetic derivative of pyridoxine (vitamin B6) that is believed to enhance cholinergic neurotransmission and cerebral glucose metabolism, and has been used as a nootropic and neuroprotective agent. It was used for the treatment of cognitive impairment and has been investigated in anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and rheumatoid arthritis, though it was withdrawn in some countries due to rare but serious adverse effects.
