Technetium Tc 99M Bicisate
Technetium Tc 99m bicisate (99mTc-ECD) is a lipophilic ester that diffuses freely across the blood-brain barrier and is subsequently hydrolyzed intracellularly to a charged form that is retained in brain tissue, enabling SPECT cerebral perfusion imaging.
