Tisagenlecleucel
Tisagenlecleucel is an autologous CAR-T cell therapy in which a patient's own T cells are genetically engineered to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) targeting CD19, enabling highly specific T-cell-mediated cytotoxicity against CD19-expressing B-cell malignancies. It is approved for relapsed or refractory B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia in pediatric and young adult patients, and for diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. The manufacturing process involves lentiviral transduction of harvested T cells followed by expansion and re-infusion after lymphodepleting chemotherapy.
