A humanized monoclonal antibody against the IL-2 receptor alpha subunit (CD25) that modulates immune activity, formerly approved for relapsing multiple sclerosis but withdrawn from the market due to serious inflammatory brain reactions. It was also used as an immunosuppressant in organ transplantation.
