Palifermin
A recombinant human keratinocyte growth factor used to reduce the severity and duration of severe oral mucositis (mouth sores) in patients receiving high-dose chemotherapy with bone marrow transplantation. It stimulates the growth and repair of epithelial cells lining the mouth and gastrointestinal tract.
