Naloxegol
This medication is used to treat opioid-induced constipation in adults taking opioid pain medicines for non-cancer pain. It works by blocking opioid receptors specifically in the gut without affecting pain relief in the rest of the body, allowing normal bowel function to resume.

Binds to mu (μ), kappa (κ), and/or delta (δ) opioid receptors in the central and peripheral nervous system, mimicking endogenous endorphins. Activation of these G-protein-coupled receptors inhibits pain signal transmission and modulates the emotional response to pain.
