Oprelvekin
A recombinant interleukin-11 used to stimulate platelet production and prevent severe thrombocytopenia (low platelet counts) following chemotherapy. By promoting the development and maturation of platelet-producing megakaryocytes, it reduces the need for platelet transfusions.
