Cefotetan
A cephamycin antibiotic with coverage of both aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, particularly useful for intra-abdominal, pelvic, and gynecological infections. It is widely used for surgical prophylaxis in colorectal and obstetric procedures. Hypoprothrombinemia and a disulfiram-like reaction with alcohol may occur due to its N-methylthiotetrazole side chain.
