Monoclonal Antibody (mAb)
mAbA laboratory-produced antibody engineered to bind a single specific epitope on a target antigen. Monoclonal antibodies are produced using hybridoma technology or recombinant methods and are classified by origin: murine (-omab), chimeric (-ximab), humanized (-zumab), or fully human (-umab). They represent the fastest-growing drug class, with applications in oncology, autoimmunity, and infectious diseases.
