Receptor Tyrosine Kinase (RTK)
RTKA class of transmembrane receptors with intrinsic kinase activity that phosphorylate tyrosine residues upon ligand binding. RTKs activate downstream signaling cascades including RAS-MAPK, PI3K-AKT, and JAK-STAT pathways. They are frequently dysregulated in cancers and represent major targets for oncology drugs.
Beispiele
- EGFR targeted by erlotinib (non-small cell lung cancer)
- HER2 targeted by trastuzumab (breast cancer)
- VEGFR targeted by sunitinib (renal cell carcinoma)
