Pozelimab
Pozelimab is a fully human monoclonal antibody that inhibits complement component C5 by blocking its cleavage into C5a and C5b, thereby preventing formation of the terminal complement complex (membrane attack complex) and its associated inflammatory and cytolytic effects. It is approved for the treatment of CD55-deficient protein-losing enteropathy (CHAPLE disease) and is under investigation for other complement-mediated disorders including age-related macular degeneration.
