Biologic Response Modifier (BRM)
BRMA broad class of agents derived from biological sources (recombinant proteins, monoclonal antibodies, cell therapies) that modify the immune response for therapeutic benefit. BRMs can enhance anti-tumor immunity, suppress autoimmune activity, or restore immune function. They differ from traditional small-molecule drugs in their size, specificity, and manufacturing complexity.

- Interferon-beta — immunomodulator for multiple sclerosis
- Trastuzumab — anti-HER2 mAb with ADCC activity (breast cancer)
- Lenalidomide — IMiD with multiple immunomodulatory effects (myeloma)
