Terodiline is an anticholinergic and calcium channel-blocking agent that was used for the treatment of urge urinary incontinence and overactive bladder through combined mechanisms of inhibiting detrusor muscle contraction. It was withdrawn from the market due to serious cardiac arrhythmias, including torsades de pointes, associated with QT prolongation. Its dual mechanism distinguished it from pure antimuscarinics but proved to have an unacceptable cardiac safety profile.
