Enantiomer
One of a pair of stereoisomers that are non-superimposable mirror images of each other, related by the presence of one or more chiral centers. Enantiomers have identical physical properties in achiral environments but interact differently with chiral biological macromolecules, often exhibiting markedly different pharmacological activity, metabolism, and toxicity profiles.
