Nuclear Receptor (NR)
NRIntracellular transcription factors activated by lipophilic ligands such as steroid hormones, thyroid hormones, retinoids, and fatty acids. Upon ligand binding, nuclear receptors translocate to the nucleus and bind DNA response elements to regulate gene expression. They are key targets for endocrine and metabolic therapies.
