Receptor Dimerization
The formation of receptor complexes consisting of two receptor subunits (homodimers or heterodimers), which is often required for signal transduction. Dimerization is essential for activation of receptor tyrosine kinases and many cytokine receptors. Targeting receptor dimerization interfaces represents an emerging therapeutic strategy.
