Immunoglobulin Therapy (IVIG)
IVIGThe administration of pooled polyclonal IgG antibodies derived from thousands of healthy donors to provide passive immunity or immunomodulation. Intravenous (IVIG) and subcutaneous (SCIG) formulations are used. Immunomodulatory mechanisms include Fc receptor blockade, complement scavenging, anti-idiotype neutralization, and cytokine modulation.
