Ipratropium
This anticholinergic bronchodilator is used to relieve bronchospasm in COPD and asthma by blocking muscarinic receptors in the airways, preventing the smooth muscle constriction caused by the vagal nerve. It helps open the airways and reduce mucus secretion. It is available in inhaled forms for maintenance therapy and is often combined with short-acting beta-agonists.
