Umeclidinium
This long-acting anticholinergic bronchodilator is used as a once-daily maintenance treatment for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) to keep the airways open and relieve shortness of breath. It works by blocking muscarinic receptors in the airway smooth muscle, causing sustained relaxation and widening of the bronchial tubes. It is delivered via a dry powder inhaler and is not intended for use as a rescue medication during sudden breathing difficulties.
