Silodosin
Silodosin is a highly selective alpha-1A adrenergic receptor antagonist used for the symptomatic treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and has been investigated for prostate cancer-related urinary symptoms. Its selectivity for the alpha-1A subtype predominant in the prostate and bladder neck smooth muscle provides effective urinary flow improvement with minimal cardiovascular effects such as orthostatic hypotension. It is administered orally and achieves rapid symptomatic relief of lower urinary tract symptoms.
