Immunostimulant
An agent that enhances or activates the immune system to fight infections, cancer, or immunodeficiency states. Immunostimulants can be specific (vaccines, tumor antigens) or nonspecific (cytokines, adjuvants). They are increasingly important in immuno-oncology, where they reactivate anti-tumor immune responses.
