Renal Clearance (CLr)
CLrThe volume of plasma from which a drug is completely removed by the kidneys per unit time. Renal clearance encompasses glomerular filtration, active tubular secretion, and passive tubular reabsorption. It is a major determinant of dosing adjustments in patients with impaired kidney function.
