An anticholinergic bronchodilator used as a maintenance treatment for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease to reduce airway constriction by blocking muscarinic receptors in the lungs. The inhaled formulation provides long-acting bronchodilation to improve airflow and reduce breathlessness throughout the day. It does not provide immediate symptom relief during an acute attack.
