This is a bispecific antibody used to treat multiple myeloma, a cancer of plasma cells in the bone marrow, in patients who have already tried several other treatments. It works by simultaneously grabbing onto cancer cells and T-cells of the immune system, bringing them together so the immune system can destroy the cancer. It is given by injection under the skin and requires close monitoring for a serious reaction called cytokine release syndrome.
